Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered postpartum and newborn care on a busy mom/baby unit
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR system
• Perform unit procedures as needed, including circumcisions, following facility protocols
• Educate new parents on infant care, breastfeeding support, and discharge planning
• Support unit flow and patient safety while working within estimated patient ratios (approximately 3-4:1)

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (state licensure required)
• BSN required
• Direct experience working in a mom/baby or postpartum unit (required)
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar EMR systems
• Flexible attitude and ability to adapt quickly to changing clinical situations
• Strong team-player mentality with compassionate bedside manner

• Skill in bedside nursing procedures commonly performed on a mom/baby unit
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR for documentation and charting
