Location: Lincoln, NE

End Date: 11-16-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments using EPIC charting
Collaborate with charge nurses and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU or Burn unit when needed, expanding your skills and experience
Participate in open-book exams during orientation to sharpen your knowledge

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent Med Surg nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC)
Current BLS certification
Valid driver's license for verification of residency
EPIC charting experience preferred
Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and floating to other units

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and patient assessments
Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6
Adaptability to float between units and handle diverse diagnoses
