Bill Rate: $25,000 sign-on; $10,000 relocation; $25,000 annual geographic differential (on top of base)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver safe, individualized nursing care for long-term care residents
- Perform thorough nursing assessments, document findings, and develop/implement care plans
- Accurately administer medications and therapeutics and monitor resident responses
- Provide patient and family teaching to support recovery, coping, and discharge planning
- Lead and supervise CNAs, LPNs, and support staff; assume charge nurse duties when required
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and transcribe physician orders
- Respond calmly and competently in emergencies and escalate to management when needed
- Maintain accurate EHR documentation and complete required competency checks and trainings
Qualifications
- Current, full, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or another U.S. state (Direct hire: must have applied for Alaska license before start date; agency staff: active Alaska license required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Clinical Competency: required within 3 months of hire and every three years
- High Risk Competency: required within 3 months of hire and annually
- High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing diploma, ADN, or BSN required (see Education)
- Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform physical demands of the role
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), OR
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN), OR
- Diploma in Nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of nursing assessment, care planning, and implementation
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safe medication administration
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation and reporting
- Ability to recognize and respond to adverse signs and emergency situations
- Experience with delegation, supervision, and leading a care team
- Good oral and written communication skills and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Comfortable using basic and specialized medical equipment such as AED
