Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 15-bed LDRP unit
Monitor and interpret fetal strips with precision to ensure safe deliveries
Titrate critical drips including Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium following strict protocols
Float to Med-Surg and ER units as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Collaborate with charge nurses and support staff to maintain quality metrics and patient safety
Educate and support families through the childbirth journey with empathy and expertise

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS certification required
ACLS, NRP, and STABLE preferred
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and fetal monitoring skills
Ability to read and interpret fetal strips independently

Knowledge & Skills

Fetal monitoring and strip interpretation
Titration of Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium drips
Critical thinking and adaptive problem-solving
AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios
Meditech EMR documentation
Philips telemetry monitoring systems
