Location: Glendale, CA

Start Date: 08-03-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, rotating weekends (4 shifts per 4-week period)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including monitoring fetal heart tones and contractions
Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections, including scrub, recovery, and circulate duties
Manage postpartum care for mother-baby couplets, ensuring healthy recovery and bonding
Perform triage assessments for patients presenting with obstetric concerns
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe patient ratios
Educate patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum self-care
Document patient data accurately in Cerner EMR

Qualifications

At least 2 years of prior L&D nursing experience required
Active RN license in California or compact state
BLS, NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications required
C-section experience (scrub, recovery, circulate) required
Travel nursing experience preferred
Ability to float between L&D and postpartum as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Experience with Obix fetal monitoring system
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for high-risk OB patients
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
