Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, rotating weekends (3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, Fri/Sat nights)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care for low and high risk deliveries in a busy Family Birth Center
Monitor fetal heart tracings using Fetal Link and Cerner EMR, ensuring safety for mom and baby
Collaborate with Laborist OB physicians available 24/7 and a dedicated healthcare team
Float to Pediatrics or NICU as needed, providing couplet care and supporting feeders/growers
Take charge nurse responsibilities as Team Lead, coordinating patient care and team workflow
Participate in holiday rotation and maintain a supportive environment for patients and families

Qualifications

2 years of L&D charge or L&D nurse manager experience (required)
Current CA RN license
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced AWHONN certifications (required)
Ability to pass a proctored Dysrhythmia test onsite day one
Experience with Cerner and Fetal Link preferred
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced fetal monitoring and fetal heart surveillance
Labor and delivery nursing including circulating (not required but helpful)
Charge nurse experience and team leadership
Familiarity with Phillips FHM system
CA nursing ratios and patient safety standards
