Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding quickly to changes
Assist with deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum recovery
Educate families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum wellness
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for every patient

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required
Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation and interventions
Knowledge of obstetric emergencies and protocols
Skilled in patient education and family support
Able to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
