Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs during labor and delivery
Assist with deliveries, including vaginal births and cesarean sections
Educate and support new parents on newborn care and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care
Respond quickly to emergency situations in the delivery room

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa or compact state
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in fetal heart monitoring and interpretation
Knowledge of obstetric emergencies and interventions
Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
