Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered critical care in a 12-bed neuro/medical ICU (1:2 patient ratio)
• Manage complex monitoring: A-line monitoring, bedside EVD care, and CRRT with confidence
• Administer and titrate medications using Baxter infusion pumps and ensure accurate documentation in Cerner
• Collaborate with neurology and neurosurgery teams for post-thrombectomy and TPA patient care
• Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during high-acuity situations
• Participate in unit scheduling and teamwork, floating to other ICUs or step-down as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state-appropriate) required
• Minimum 2+ years ICU nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Neuro ICU experience, NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with CRRT, EVD care, and A-line monitoring highly desired
• Comfortable working night shifts and weekends as part of a rotating schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making
• Hands-on experience with CRRT, EVDs, and arterial line monitoring
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic documentation
• Proficient with infusion devices such as Baxter pumps
• Knowledge of post-neurosurgery, thrombectomy and TPA patient management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ICU environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
