Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every third weekend, 36 hours/week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced MICU setting
Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and interventions as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Act as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and comfort throughout their stay
Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications

Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Willingness to work night shifts and weekends

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills in acute care
Proficient in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs
Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
