Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency nursing care with calm and confidence
• Perform rapid assessments, triage and prioritize care for acute and critical patients
• Administer medications, IV therapy and emergency interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and the care team to execute treatment plans
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and follow-up plans
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Basic Life Support BLS certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support ACLS preferred or able to obtain
• Previous Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
• Ability to safely work 12-hour day shifts and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency with IV insertion, medication administration and monitor interpretation
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills during high-acuity scenarios
• Critical thinking, adaptability and calm under pressure
