Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts including 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; weekends and holidays vary based on department needs

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert emergency care to patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center
Manage high-acuity cases including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, strokes, and respiratory distress
Administer common ER drips and monitor critical patients with precision
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
Float to the OBS unit and Freestanding Creighton ER to expand your skills and impact
Interpret cardiac strips and respond swiftly to changing patient conditions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
NRP certification preferred
Recent Level I or Level II trauma experience required
Driver's license required at submittal to verify 50-mile radius compliance
Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in emergency settings
Ability to manage 1:4 patient ratios in main zones and 1:1 in ICU/Trauma
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Proficient with reading and interpreting cardiac strips
Flexible and adaptable to floating between units
