Location: Syracuse, New York

Start Date: 09-08-2026

End Date: 07-11-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) or 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), no weekends, no call, no holidays. Exact schedule discussed in interview.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures and provide education on what to expect
Assist physicians during colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and other GI procedures
Monitor patients' vital signs and sedation levels throughout the procedure
Document patient care accurately in EPIC electronic health records
Ensure a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols
Provide compassionate post-procedure care and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Active RN license (compact or eligible for New York)
BLS and ACLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy or critical care nursing experience
EPIC proficiency preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, procedure-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of endoscopic procedures and sedation management
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and the care team
Proficient in EPIC or similar electronic health records
