Shift Type: Rotating shifts, every other weekend and holiday required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department
Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions for a diverse patient population
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage trauma and acute conditions
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols

Qualifications

Current RN license in Iowa or compact state
Minimum 1-2 years of recent ER experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency nursing, trauma care, and critical thinking
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic setting
