Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (exact start/end times and specific days not provided); Emergency Department (ED/ER) schedule that may include days, nights and weekends

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately on arrival
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care and interventions
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient-centered care
Perform timely documentation and maintain accurate patient records
Administer medications and manage IV therapy safely
Monitor patient status and escalate concerns to the care team when needed
Participate in department quality improvement and safety initiatives
Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and follow-up

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (Hawaii license or compact privileges as applicable)
Experience working in an Emergency Department (ED/ER) is strongly preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong assessment, triage and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or equivalent
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency department triage and rapid assessment
Trauma and acute care basics, including stabilization techniques
IV insertion, medication administration and emergency procedures
Familiarity with EKG interpretation and monitoring
Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
Comfortable using electronic medical record systems
