Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to cardiovascular ICU patients, including those post-open heart surgery
Monitor and titrate vasoactive drips such as Propofol, Dopamine, and Epinephrine
Manage advanced hemodynamic monitoring and devices like IABP, CRRT, and Impella
Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and respond to emergent situations
Float to ICU/PCU/MS/Tele as needed based on departmental skill requirements

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Dysrhythmia exam with 80% pass within two attempts
Experience with IABP, CRRT, and fresh open heart surgical patients
Cerner charting experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced cardiac life support and critical care pharmacology
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Competence in titration of cardiac drips
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-acuity environment
