Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM; every other weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to open heart, complex thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
Manage and titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Operate and troubleshoot advanced equipment like impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Support patients from cath lab, structural heart program, EP lab, ER, and clinic
Interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms independently
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including intensivists and hospitalists

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification required
Driver's license required for mileage verification
EPIC charting experience preferred
Must be able to pass an open-book exam during orientation with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating critical care drips
Skilled in managing ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Strong understanding of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
