Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare patient care areas for seamless, safe procedures
Review charts, labs, and consents to ensure everything is ready to go
Prep patients efficiently and provide top-notch pre and post-procedure care
Assist physicians during cutting-edge cardiac, EP, and neuro interventions
Administer procedural sedation following strict protocols
Circulate independently with X-ray fluoroscopy and intra-cardiac ultrasound expertise
Document accurately in real-time using MacLab/CardioLab systems
Maintain a safe, comforting environment for patients and families
Precept new staff and pursue ongoing professional growth

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab experience required - no new grads or Med/Surg only
Strongly preferred: Cardiovascular and EP Lab experience

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from accredited program
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within 36 months of hire if not already obtained

Knowledge & Skills

Cath Lab proficiency including structural heart procedures and hemodynamics
Electrophysiology procedures like ablations, device implants, and 3D mapping
X-ray fluoroscopy and intra-cardiac ultrasound operation
Procedural sedation administration
Interventional neurology procedures such as carotid stenting and thrombectomy
