Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-08-2026

End Date: 09-07-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Help patients recover from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general orthopedic conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized treatment plans
Support patients through acute inpatient rehabilitation with compassion and skill
Mentor and guide patients on their journey back to independence

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification needed
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience essential
Strong clinical skills in treating diverse patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient physical therapy expertise
Experience with general medical and deconditioned patients
Knowledge of post-surgical orthopedic rehabilitation
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced hospital environments
Strong communication and patient education skills
