Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on a specialized MedSurg/Telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alerts
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psych MDs and behavior health techs
Support patients with both medical and behavioral health needs in a safe, video-monitored environment
Float to ED psych holds or other MedSurg floors as needed to support hospital-wide care
Maintain strict sterile technique during procedures and pass all required skills validations

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with Cerner EMR experience
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed)
Must successfully complete SIMs Lab skills validation on day one of orientation
Clean, professional appearance with natural hair color and no facial piercings

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Care of patients with secondary psychiatric diagnoses
Sterile field maintenance for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Video monitoring and behavioral safety protocols
Cerner electronic medical record documentation
Collaborative care with security and behavior health techs
