Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to ED holds waiting for placement on med/surg/tele units
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms while managing titratable drips like Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Adjust cardiac drips according to physician orders and parameters to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with the ED charge nurse and support staff to deliver seamless patient care
Float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and both CRMC and MGMC EDs as needed
Assist with ED patient care tasks including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when requested

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong cardiac telemetry background preferred with 2 years of experience
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (2 attempts allowed)
Must successfully complete a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Titration of cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Reading and interpreting cardiac strips without monitor tech support
Caring for med/surg/tele patients with a focus on cardiac needs
Adapting quickly to floating between units and campuses
