Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Mixed 8 and 12 hour shifts with start times including 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, and 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, plus on-call from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM. On-call maximum 1-2 nights per 6-week schedule and 24 hours of weekend call per 6-week schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for patients of all ages
Monitor and support pediatric patients with compassion and specialized attention
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth transitions from OR to recovery
Float to inpatient units as a helping hand when needed, showcasing your versatility
Respond to on-call needs within 30 minutes to support patient care during critical times

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of PACU experience preferred
Experience recovering pediatric patients is essential
EPIC EMR experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong pediatric recovery skills with sensitivity to patients with disabilities
Ability to manage vented patients on pressors and blood products
Comfortable reading cardiac strips and responding to changes
Excellent teamwork and willingness to support colleagues
Efficient time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
