Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Float between MedSurg Tele and PCU units across both campuses, providing compassionate care to a variety of patients
Manage and titrate critical drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to patient needs in a fast-paced float pool environment
Collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aids to deliver safe, high-quality care with ratios of 1:4 in PCU and 1:5-6 in MedSurg Tele
Support post-procedural and cardiac patients, including post-MI, post-Cath, and CABG recovery patients

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience
Comfortable with dysrhythmia interpretation and passing the exam within two attempts
Must live more than 50 miles from the facility and not have worked at any CommonSpirit facility in the past year

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management
Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high-flow oxygen therapy
Ability to titrate multiple critical care drips independently
Flexibility to float between units and adapt to changing assignments with short notice
Professional communication and teamwork across multiple campuses
