Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips each shift
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Collaborate with the care team on total joint replacement recovery and stroke/TIA management
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to support unit needs
Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner
Support patients through BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments alongside respiratory therapy

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Medical-surgical nursing fundamentals
Patient ratio comfort at 1:5
Strong assessment and communication skills
Flexibility to float between campuses
