Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, and other neurological conditions
Monitor patients on 24-48 hour Trend EEGs and detect subtle changes in neurological status
Perform comprehensive neuro assessments including cranial nerve evaluations
Manage patients requiring BiPAP support and collaborate with respiratory therapy
Maintain sterile technique during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, and resource RNs

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 2 years of experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
BSN preferred, Med Surg/Tele certification preferred
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Must pass dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts
Clean, professional appearance with natural hair color and no facial piercings

Education

BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills for detecting subtle patient changes
Competency in sterile field maintenance and infection control practices
Experience with epilepsy monitoring and neurological patient populations
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma environment
Proficiency with self-releasing velcro seat belts and patient safety protocols
