Location: New Albany, Ohio

Start Date: 02-08-2026

End Date: 10-31-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Wednesday or Monday-Tuesday-Thursday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM with on-call rotation (weekday call 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM, weekend call 24 hours)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and assess patient condition post-procedure
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth patient transitions
Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions
Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge instructions
Participate in on-call rotations to support emergency and after-hours cases

Qualifications

Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (must obtain Ohio license)
Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of post-anesthesia nursing protocols
Proficient in interpreting cardiac rhythms and managing airway equipment
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Comfortable with fast-paced, high-acuity environments
Basic computer and documentation skills
