Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients under the direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services and referring physicians to identify functional needs and goals.
Develop and implement individualized treatment programs using evidence-based therapeutic procedures to maximize patients' functional potential.
Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and train patients in the use of assistive devices to promote independence.
Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care.
Practice in accordance with the State Practice Act and follow physician orders to ensure safe, compliant clinical care.

Qualifications

Current California Occupational Therapist License (required).
Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
Ability to evaluate and treat patients under physician orders and to develop appropriate treatment programs.
Comfort working under the direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatment approaches.
Proficient in developing treatment programs tailored to individual patient goals.
Experience with therapeutic procedures and fitting/training on assistive devices.
Knowledge of State Practice Act requirements and compliance.
Able to follow physician orders and collaborate effectively with clinical teams.
