Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM NOC (24 hrs/week)

Hours per Week: 24

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized respiratory care to critically ill neonates in the NICU
Manage ventilators, CPAP, and other respiratory support equipment
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatments as needed
Educate families on respiratory care and equipment use at home
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with NICU protocols

Qualifications

Active Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio (or compact state)
Minimum 1 year of recent NICU respiratory therapy experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
NICU-specific competency and skills checklist completed
Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen, color vision test, and fit test

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in neonatal ventilation strategies and oxygen therapy
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts
