Roles & Responsibilities

Accurately collect and document vital patient information to keep records spot-on
Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures and minor surgeries
Perform specimen collection and Point of Care Testing with precision
Administer immunizations and injections as ordered by providers
Assist with radiology exams when competencies are met
Support clinic flow by transporting patients and observing those needing attention
Provide cross-coverage to peers ensuring smooth patient throughput
Recognize and respond swiftly to patient changes or emergencies

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or EMT III Current AK Certification or Current AK Paramedic Certification or Nursing Degree from accredited institution
Experience in healthcare setting preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Nursing Degree from accredited institution (alternative to CMA/EMT/Paramedic certification)

Knowledge & Skills

Clinic procedures and medical terminology
Computer skills for EMR systems and medical databases
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Operation of medical equipment like blood pressure cuffs and EKG machines
Ability to train on various EMR systems and interact with healthcare teams
