Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality direct patient care including assessments and medication administration
• Monitor and document patient status, vitals, and changes in condition in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Perform treatments and therapeutic interventions safely and according to policy
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and disease management
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
• Adhere to infection control standards and promote a safe environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license (eligible/compact licensure or NC licensure preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as appropriate or preferred by unit
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Clinical experience in a similar acute care setting preferred
• Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program or an accredited ADN/BSN program for RNs

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and patient assessment
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
• Solid knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and clinical best practices
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and respond to changing patient needs
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
