Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to residents during 12+ hour day shifts
• Administer medications, treatments, and wound care according to established care plans
• Monitor and document changes in patient status, communicating clearly with the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support resident-centered care and positive outcomes
• Assist with admission, discharge, and care transitions while maintaining regulatory compliance
• Support family communication and education with empathy and professionalism

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in New Mexico)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts including weekends
• Strong clinical assessment skills and experience in long-term care or rehab preferred
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and professionalism
• Able to pass facility-required background checks and immunization requirements

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program; high school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation
• Wound care and basic restorative nursing skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
• Ability to triage and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong patient education and family communication skills
• Team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary staff
