Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Mount Olive, NC

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / As-needed, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Day shift (12.5-hour)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $33 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care and support to patients with dignity
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Monitor and document patient status, vitals, and clinical changes in the record
Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the care team to implement care plans
Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility needs
Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up
Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards

Qualifications

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure — North Carolina license preferred or eligible
Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
Comfortable with medication administration, basic wound care, and documentation
Reliable, professional, and able to pass required background and drug screening

Education

Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail
Medication administration and basic nursing procedure knowledge
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
Good communication skills with patients, families, and team members
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
Team player attitude and commitment to patient-centered care
