Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process in a fast-paced ICU environment
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring and response to treatment
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to adapt care plans based on patient changes
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality while advocating for patient needs
Float to units of competency as needed, ensuring seamless care across departments

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in California (or compact state eligible)
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or Red Cross
Minimum one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, with critical care experience preferred
NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications preferred
COVID-19 vaccination preferred but not required
Ability to float to units of competency as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills to make quick clinical decisions
Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting diagnostic tests
Excellent patient education and communication abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to adapt to varying patient acuity and unit needs
