Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with respect and dignity
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
Provide compassionate support during meals and mobility assistance to promote independence
Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
Document care tasks and observations accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

Current GNA certification or completion of an approved GNA program
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Previous experience in long-term care or working with geriatric populations is a plus
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and ADL assistance
Vital signs measurement and basic observation skills
Infection control and safe patient handling principles
Clear documentation and reporting practices
Team collaboration and respectful interpersonal skills
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
