Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varied days), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with daily living activities
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility with dignity
Take and record vital signs and report meaningful changes to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and fall prevention measures during every shift
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with teammates
Help create a welcoming, clean and safe environment for residents
Engage residents in conversation and activities to promote emotional well-being

Qualifications

Current GNA certification in Maryland (or state-equivalent) required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Ability to pass background checks, drug screening and required immunizations
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of geriatric care principles and resident-centered approaches
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic nursing tasks
Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
Basic charting and documentation skills; attention to detail
Reliable time management and the ability to work independently when needed
