Roles & Responsibilities

Accurately perform echocardiogram studies including Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, Exercise stress, and pharmacological echocardiography to deliver vital diagnostic insights
Conduct other cardiac diagnostic studies like EKG, Holter prep, monitoring, analysis, and cardiac stress tests with precision
Utilize advanced mechanical devices such as echocardiographs, stress systems, electrocardiographs, and Holter monitors to provide top-tier information for cardiologists
Manage hospital information systems for seamless scheduling, processing, and charging of studies
Apply rigorous infection control practices and aseptic techniques for patient safety
Guide students from partnered colleges with preceptorship and clinical expertise
Deliver age-specific cardiac testing for neonatal and pediatric patients with care and skill

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required
Basic Life Support certification
Registered Cardiac Sonographer credential
Successful completion of certification program and/or two years hands-on echocardiography experience
Preferred: Extensive hospital experience in echocardiography, especially pediatric and neonatal

Education

High School Diploma or GED
Certificate Program in Cardiovascular Sonography preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in echocardiography and cardiac diagnostic testing
Proficient in Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal echocardiography, Exercise stress and pharmacological echocardiography
Skilled in EKG, Holter monitoring and analysis, cardiac stress tests
Familiarity with neonatal and pediatric echocardiography
Strong grasp of hospital systems, infection control, and aseptic techniques
