Roles & Responsibilities

Accurately perform echocardiogram studies including Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, Exercise stress and pharmacological echocardiography
Conduct EKG, Holter prep, monitoring, analysis and Cardiac stress tests with precision
Utilize echocardiographs, cardiac stress systems, electrocardiographs, Holter monitors and computer analysis to deliver top diagnostic insights
Assess hospital systems for seamless scheduling, processing and charging
Apply infection control and aseptic techniques for patient safety
Guide students with preceptorship and clinical expertise
Deliver age-specific care excelling with neonatal and pediatric patients

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Basic Life Support certification
Registered Cardiac Sonographer
Successful completion of certification program and/or two years hands-on echocardiography experience
Preferred: Extensive hospital experience in echocardiography, especially pediatric and neonatal

Education

High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Certificate Program in Cardiovascular Sonography

Knowledge & Skills

Echocardiogram studies
Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler
Transesophageal and stress echocardiography
EKG, Holter monitoring and analysis
Cardiac stress tests
Mechanical diagnostic devices
Age-specific patient care including neonatal and pediatric
