Shift Type: Rotating 4x10 schedule: Day shifts 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (4x10) and Night shifts 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM (4x10); typically four 10-hour shifts per week, rotating between day and night with occasional weekends and on-call as needed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality adult resting and stress echocardiograms with professionalism and attention to detail
• Conduct transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and assist with procedure workflow in the cath lab as needed
• Operate and maintain Philips ultrasound equipment and ensure image quality meets departmental standards
• Document findings accurately in Epic and communicate results clearly to the care team
• Provide compassionate patient education and prepare patients for procedures, including neonates when indicated
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to support efficient patient throughput and optimal care
• Respond to on-call requests and float between units to meet patient care needs

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI Registry, RDCS or RCS preferred
• BLS required
• Minimum 2 years of echocardiography experience
• Experience with adult echo, TEE and stress echocardiography (treadmill and pharmacologic) preferred
• Comfortable using Philips ultrasound systems and Epic charting
• Preferred experience in a teaching hospital or Level II trauma environment
• Neonate experience and thoracentesis experience are a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in adult echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and stress echo
• Familiarity with 3-D echo, M-Mode, bubble studies and imaging with contrast agents
• Experience with Philips ultrasound systems and McKesson workflow
• Ability to perform exercise and pharmacologic stress protocols
• Comfortable assisting in cath lab procedures and working across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Excellent communication, patient prep and safety practices
