Bill Rate: $87,800 - $122,000/year

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise approximately 45 FTEs across Plant Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental Services, setting clear expectations and developing training plans
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, and oxygen required for facility operations and patient care
- Direct preventative maintenance programs and inspect equipment to ensure adherence to manufacturer recommendations and operational standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and standards including NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS, and local building and fire codes
- Manage contractor performance and ensure outside contractors comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Serve as a liaison to other departments to assess needs and develop action plans that support patient care and operational efficiency
- Respond to customer and employee concerns promptly and professionally, fostering a culture of service and accountability
- Apply engineering principles to detect and repair malfunctioning equipment or systems to maintain safe, reliable facility operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of personnel management experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, HVAC and general building maintenance
- Experience with autoclaving, bio-waste handling, life safety codes, construction phasing, and environmental services operations
- Ability to apply engineering principles systematically to troubleshoot and repair facility systems
- Candidate must be willing to relocate to a rural area
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field)

- Facilities management and building maintenance best practices
- HVAC systems, boiler operation, plumbing and electrical systems
- Preventative maintenance scheduling and execution
- Regulatory compliance (NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS) and local codes
- Team leadership, personnel management, and training development
- Environmental services operations and life safety code compliance
- Contractor oversight and vendor management
