Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation with professionalism and attention to patient comfort
• Operate and maintain CT and X-ray equipment, including setting up and running automatic injectors for contrast studies
• Provide patient care across the lifespan — from newborns to geriatric patients — tailoring technique as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records, perform daily/weekly quality control, and support the departmental QA program
• Assist with invasive and interventional procedures, including sterile technique and venipuncture as appropriate
• Communicate effectively with referring physicians and the care team to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety
• Rotate shifts and assume departmental responsibility in the absence of a supervisor; perform ancillary duties as needed

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency to be demonstrated within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform diagnostic exams related to assigned modality (CT and X-ray focus)
• Willingness to rotate shifts, be on-call, and report to work within 20 minutes when required
• Comfortable learning additional imaging modalities as directed (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography) and maintaining competency
• Ability to work well under stress and provide compassionate patient care across all age groups

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care across the lifespan and growth/development awareness
• Radiographic technique for all body parts, CT operation, and radiation protection principles
• Contrast administration knowledge, contraindications, and automatic injector operation
• Quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) processes
• Tele-radiology transmission competency and proper record maintenance
• Sterile technique, venipuncture, supply inventory/ordering, and assistance with interventional procedures
