Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and X-ray exams on a wide range of patients, including ER cases and virtual colonography
• Utilize Siemens Sensation 64 and GE 16 Light Speed scanners with precision and care
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety
• Maintain proficiency in Cerner and McKesson PACS for documentation and image management
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage
• Float within radiology department as needed, supporting various imaging modalities

Qualifications

• Valid California Radiologic Technologist license required
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Fluoroscopy permit required
• Minimum 2 years of combined CT and X-ray experience
• Comfortable with Cerner EMR and McKesson PACS preferred
• Experience with Siemens and GE CT scanners a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in CT and X-ray imaging techniques and protocols
• Ability to handle 10-20 scans per shift, with evenings being busiest
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Adaptability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of gated procedures and virtual colonography is a bonus
