Roles & Responsibilities

Perform all general diagnostic radiographic exams and CT exams with precision and care
Operate CT and X-ray equipment expertly to deliver top-quality imaging
Prepare and administer contrast media including intravenous injections safely
Maintain quality control and uphold ARRT Standards of Ethics and department policies
Contribute to service excellence in a level II trauma center serving the community

Qualifications

Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) from California Department of Health Services
Approved CPR certification
ARRT and Fluoroscopy permit within 6 months of hire
Desired: Radiographic contrast media and venapuncture certification
Desired: Advanced certification in CT
Desired: Two years diagnostic x-ray experience and one year in CT

Education

Two years experience in diagnostic x-ray desired
One year experience in CT desired

Knowledge & Skills

Thorough knowledge of cross sectional anatomy, patient care, positioning, radiographic exposure
Expertise in quality assurance, radiation physics, protection, radiobiology
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated with proficiency in specialized CT techniques
