Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging across a broad scope — abdomen/pelvis, chest, head & neck, spine/MSK and vascular CTA
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and according to protocol
• Operate and troubleshoot CT scanners and post-processing tools including MPR/MRP
• Collaborate with ED, inpatient teams and ICU staff to prioritize urgent and emergent imaging needs
• Document exams accurately in EPIC and manage images in PACS for timely clinician review
• Assist with special procedures such as aspirations and biopsies when credentialed
• Maintain patient safety and comfort — screening, IV starts, and post-procedure monitoring

Qualifications

• Active Washington state license required (pending licenses are not accepted)
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience (first-timers accepted as noted)
• Experience in Adult Acute Care and Emergency Department settings; ICU and Pediatrics experience preferred
• Comfortable using EPIC charting and PACS image management
• Ability to work weekend night travel/contract assignment (local residents within 50 miles are not eligible)

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging techniques and protocols (abdomen/pelvis, chest, head & neck, spine/MSK, vascular CTA)
• Brain perfusion studies and complex post-processing (MPR/MRP)
• Contrast preparation and administration best practices
• Hands-on skills: starting peripheral IVs, assisting with biopsies and aspirations
• Familiarity with GE and Siemens CT equipment
• Proficient charting in EPIC and managing images in PACS
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced ER and inpatient environments
