Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Support patient mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and team members
• Assist with meal service and feeding as needed while respecting dietary restrictions
• Participate in care planning and documentation to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and willingness to comply with facility screening
• Ability to pass background check and required health clearances
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing and patient care procedures
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safe handling techniques
• Ability to document care in electronic or paper charts
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
