Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Assist with activities of daily living while promoting patient dignity and comfort
- Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to reduce risk
- Collaborate with nurses and care team members to follow care plans and deliver consistent care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required by facility
- Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to the facility schedule
- Pass background check and meet facility health requirements (TB test, immunizations)
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
- Taking and accurately recording vital signs
- Infection control and safety protocols
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Basic documentation and charting of patient information
