Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility safely and respectfully
• Take and record vital signs, intake/output, and other routine observations accurately
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team and document per facility policy
• Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by following infection control and safety procedures
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required as per facility policy
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus
• Ability to pass required background checks, health screenings, and drug tests
• Reliable transportation and ability to work scheduled shifts as assigned
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic patient care techniques and ADLs
• Skill taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Ability to assist with safe transfers and mobility
• Good documentation habits and attention to detail
• Teamwork, adaptability, and effective communication with residents and staff
• Awareness of infection control practices and patient safety standards
