Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living—bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and assist with ambulation
• Provide compassionate bedside care and comfort to patients and families
• Document care thoroughly and communicate effectively with the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Support nursing staff with assigned clinical tasks to ensure quality care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• High school diploma or GED (typical requirement)
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
• Comfortable working in fast-paced settings and following care plans

Education

• High school diploma or GED; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and activities of daily living
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Charting and basic documentation practices
• Infection control and workplace safety procedures
• Teamwork, clear communication, and time management
