Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility to maintain comfort and safety
- Support efficient room turnover and maintain clean, safe patient environments
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with facility policy
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in the state of California (required)
- Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred but new grads welcome
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control practices
- Skilled at safe patient transfers and use of mobility equipment
- Comfortable with charting and basic electronic documentation
- Ability to follow care plans and physician/provider directions
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
