Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, Days vary, Overnight, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist with safe mobility and transfers to promote patient safety
Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support nursing staff with treatments, documentation, and timely communications
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Engage patients and families with empathy and clear communication
Contribute to team care planning and handoffs to ensure continuity

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in New Mexico (or able to obtain prior to start)
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required by facility
Ability to pass background check, TB test, and required immunizations
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team

Education

High school diploma or GED; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and activities of daily living
Taking and recording vital signs accurately
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Documentation best practices and basic EMR familiarity
Infection prevention and control procedures
Time management, teamwork, and compassionate bedside manner
