Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
Assist with feeding and monitor nutritional needs as directed
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
Maintain clean, comfortable patient environments and follow infection control practices
Document care activities clearly and communicate effectively with the care team
Observe and report patient concerns promptly to ensure timely interventions

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
Active state CNA license and good standing with licensing board
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Strong interpersonal skills and a caring bedside manner

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control and patient safety protocols
Comfortable with basic documentation and charting
Teamwork and clear communication with nurses and multidisciplinary staff
Ability to follow care plans and report patient changes promptly
